Psalm 119:89 “My God, yor word wey dey forever, stand gidigba for heaven.

 

You get finality, weight and authority inside this statement “E don settle.” For this physical world, gavel na small instrument, but e carry serious power. When judge knock am for the sounding block, the matter wey dem dey discuss no dey open for argument again. The decision don become final, binding and irreversible. The person wey hold the gavel na the person wey get the authority to close case.

For the spirit realm, na God Himself hold the gavel. Before time start, before your name appear for earth, before your first breath, before your first battle, before your first prayer — God don knock the gavel for heaven and declare say your life don settle. Isaiah 25:1 show us this truth: “Your plans wey You don make since olden days na truth and faithfulness.” Everything about you don finish for eternity before e ever show for time.

Psalm 119:89 talk am boldly: “Forever.” No be temporary. No be conditional. No be seasonal. 

Forever.

This one mean say your destiny no dey in draft — e don already write am. Your victory no dey in negotiation — e don already dey secure. Your future no dey shake — e don already dey established. Heaven don talk, and dem no fit overturn heaven verdict.

Wetin God don settle?

Your healing don settle — “By His stripes we don heal” (Isaiah 53:5). 

Your fruitfulness and work don settle — “The work of your hands go bless” (Psalm 128:2–3). 

Your prosperity and well‑being don settle — “I wish above all things say you go prosper and dey in health” (3 John 1:2). 

Your purpose and future don settle — “I know the plans wey I get for you…” (Jeremiah 29:11).

God word dey eternal, unchanging and immovable. Trend dey change. Season dey change. People dey change. Opinion dey change. But the word wey God speak over your life remain fixed, established and anchored for eternity.

Even though God word don settle, sometimes He go still allow us pass through process, trial and delay — no be to deny us, but to prepare us. No be to punish us, but to strengthen us. No be to frustrate us, but to elevate us. Na to push us make we claim wetin already belong to us instead of settling for wetin no reach God intention.

Isaiah 45:11 call us into boldness: “Concerning the work of My hands, command Me.” 

No be arrogance — na alignment. 

No be pride — na partnership. 

No be entitlement — na covenant.

When you command wetin God don already settle, you no dey force God hand; you dey agree with Him will.

No matter how your situation be now, God no go allow you face pass wetin you fit carry according to 1 Corinthians 10:13. He know your threshold. He know your capacity. He know your breaking point. And He don already prepare escape route — way of escape wey match His settled plan.

The children of Israel suppose dey enslaved for 400 years. That one don settle. But human interference add extra 30 years. Still, God word prevail. His settled plan manifest. His promise come to pass.

Na why 2 Corinthians 4:18 warn us make we no fix eye on wetin dey temporary — delay, disappointment, contradiction — but on wetin eternal: the settled word of God.

Human help fit fail. System fit fail. People fit fail. But God word no fit fail. Psalm 60:11 talk am: “The help of man na nothing.” But the help of God no dey fail.

So if you dey trust God for something — healing, breakthrough, restoration, promise — stand strong. Believe boldly. Wait patiently. Because wetin God don settle for heaven go manifest for earth at the appointed time.

Heaven gavel don already strike. 

The verdict don already come out. 

The case don already close. 

E don settle.
