PIDGIN THE SUPERNATURAL LIFE!

Mark 16:16–18 “16 Anybody wey bilive and dem baptize am, God go save am, but anybody wey nor bilive, God go kondemn am. 17 Dis signs go follow pipol wey bilive: With my name, dem go drive demon komot from pipol body; dem go speak new language wey dem nor learn; 18 dem go fit whole snake and if dem drink poizin, e nor go do dem anytin; dem go put dia hand for pipol wey nor well body and di pipol go well.”

 

The supernatural life no be special level for only few “anointed” Christians; na inheritance of every believer wey dey waka by faith in Christ. Jesus make am very clear when He talk say, “These signs go follow dem wey believe.” Signs no be something to chase; na something wey suppose follow believer. This mean say the supernatural no be occasional thing, but na everyday display of God power wey dey work through ordinary people wey trust God.

The key to supernatural life dey for the first words of Mark 16:16: “Dem wey believe…” Faith na the door wey lead enter supernatural. Anytime God power show for Bible, belief dey involved. Faith no be emotional excitement, noise, or hype; na strong confidence for God Word, even when situation no agree.

For Bible, God always dey respond to faith. 

The woman with issue of blood touch Jesus in faith and receive healing (Mark 5:34). 

Blind Bartimaeus refuse make doubt or people close him mouth; him steady faith bring sight (Mark 10:46–52). 

Abraham believe God against all odds, and that faith make am papa of many nations (Romans 4:18–21).

These examples show one strong truth: faith dey activate heaven. Supernatural life begin when trust for God Word replace trust for wetin physical eye dey see.

Jesus go further for verse 17 when He talk say, “In My name…” Supernatural authority dey happen through the name of Jesus. The name no be religious formula; na divine authority wey heaven back. The early church understand this well and act boldly for the power of Him name.

Peter command lame man make he stand and waka for Jesus name, and the man receive healing instantly (Acts 3:6). 

Paul cast out spirit of divination by calling Jesus name (Acts 16:16–18). 

Even demons recognise Jesus authority and submit (Mark 1:23–27).

To live supernatural life na to always remember say you carry authority as believer. Na to waka everyday knowing say heaven don approve the name you dey speak.

The supernatural life include divine protection. Jesus talk say believers go handle dangerous things and no harm go touch dem. E no mean say make we dey do reckless things; na promise of protection while dey we day do God work. When God send person, He dey protect am.

Paul experience this for Malta when viper bite am and nothing happen (Acts 28:3–6). 

Daniel survive lion den because God close the lion mouth (Daniel 6:22). 

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego waka comot for fire without even smell of smoke (Daniel 3:27).

The supernatural life na life under divine covering. God power no just dey work through believers; e dey surround dem.

Finally, Jesus talk about supernatural compassion when He say, “Dem go lay hand on sick people, and dem go recover.” Healing no be only show of power; na sign of God mercy and love. God power always dey connected to compassion.

Jesus touch leper with compassion and heal am (Mark 1:41). 

Apostles anoint sick people with oil and many recover (Mark 6:13). 

James tell the church make dem pray for sick people with faith and expectation (James 5:14–15).

The supernatural life no be about personal glory or spiritual rank. Na about showing God heart—to bring healing, hope, deliverance, and restoration to the broken world.

When believers embrace supernatural life, gospel no go remain only words. E go become power in action. Faith release authority, authority bring transformation, and transformation dey glorify God. Na this life Jesus want every believer to live.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

·       For which area of my life I dey limit God by expecting only natural instead of believing for the supernatural? 

·       How I fit grow for using authority of Jesus name with confidence and humility? 

·       Who dey around me wey need healing, compassion, or freedom wey God want release through me?

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me enter supernatural life. Strengthen my faith, deepen my obedience, and help me waka daily in Your authority and power. Use my hands take heal, my voice take declare Your Word, and my life take show Your glory. Amen.
