PIDGIN WHY!

Isaiah 45:11 “Di Oga wey bi Israel pipol God wey dey holy; di Pesin wey dey make awa future betta, don sey, “Yu nor get rite to kweshon mi about my shidren or tell mi wetin I go do!

How many times we dey ask “why” in a day? Why this? Why that? Why me? Why now? If we really count how many times we dey ask “why,” we go see how much of self, control, and human reasoning dey inside everything we dey do. We dey ask God why things happen, why He allow some situations, why He tell us to obey, why He lead us go direction we no choose. Why, why, why?

But anytime we dey question God from place of doubt, we dey show something deeper: lack of trust. Romans 8:28 tell us say God dey work all things together for our good, but we still dey struggle to believe am. Instead make we rest for Him promise, we dey question Him timing, decisions, and silence. We dey question Him integrity and faithfulness anytime we dey question Him word or wetin we think say be His inaction.

Instead of “why,” our heart suppose learn to say, “Lord, I trust You.”

If God want make we understand something, He go reveal am. Who talk say we must get all the answers even? Who say we must understand everything before we obey? We no need full understanding to follow God. 1 Corinthians 13:9 remind us say our knowledge dey partial and incomplete. We dey see only small piece of the picture, but God dey see the whole story from beginning to end.

Our own responsibility simple: trust God.

Every day, we get choice to either give in to our pain, confusion, and frustration, or lean on God strength and trust Him. Life dey feel unfair sometimes. Situations dey look unjust. People dey disappoint us. Circumstances dey overwhelm us. And our heart go shout, “Why! Why! Why!” But time dey come when we must quiet the questions and surrender to God wisdom.

Bible warn us make we no question God in rebellious or accusatory way. For Romans 9:20–21, Paul quote Jeremiah 18:1–6, remind us say God na the Potter and we be the clay. Clay no dey question the Potter. Psalm 75:7 say God dey decide who rise and who fall. Isaiah 55:8–9 tell us say Him thoughts and ways high pass our own. So when we dey question God decisions, we dey indirectly talk say we doubt Him goodness and we no trust say He get our best interest for heart.

If we no fit trust God, who we wan trust?

Proverbs 3:5–6 suppose become our declaration, especially for hard seasons: “Lord, I trust You. I no go doubt Your plans. I no go fear. I no go try understand everything. I know say You get good plan for me, so I put everything for Your capable hands.”

We no need know why God dey do wetin He dey do. We only need know say He good. Psalm 27:13 assure us say we go see the goodness of the Lord for the land of the living. God character dey trustworthy even when Him methods dey mysterious.

1 Samuel 2:3 describe God as the One wey get unsearchable knowledge and wey Him actions dey guided by perfect wisdom. Psalm 18:30 say Him ways perfect and Him word flawless. How we go question God wey Him understanding no get limit and Him decisions always correct?

Yet human beings dey blame God for everything wey wrong for the world — even the consequences of our own choices. We dey question why society broke, why evil dey increase, why things no dey improve, and why God no dey “fix” everything. But the real question be: why we turn God creation upside down?

Why we allow sin run wild?

Why we abandon God standards?

Why we pollute Him altar and twist Him word?

Why we dey call evil good and good evil?

Why we forsake the God wey create us?

And after all this, we still get mouth to question God? Why.

Before we ask God “why,” make we first ask ourselves “why.” Why we dey resist Him ways? Dey doubt Him love? Why we dey trust ourselves pass we trust Am? The answers dey closer than we think.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

·       Which situations for my life dey make me question God instead of trusting Him?

·       Where God dey ask me to surrender my need for answers and just obey?

·       Which Scriptures I fit hold when I dey tempted to ask “why” instead of saying “Lord, I trust You”?

PRAYER: Father, help me to trust You completely. Teach me to hold Your word without needing to understand everything. Strengthen my faith so I no go doubt Your plans for my life. I surrender my questions and choose to trust Your wisdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
