CHILD-FRIENDLY THE WISDOM OF GOD!

 James 1:5 ICB

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. God is generous. He enjoys giving to all people, so God will give you wisdom.

 

Can someone receive the wisdom of God? The Bible says yes. God has all wisdom, and He loves to give it to anyone who asks. James 1:5 tells us that if we do not have wisdom, we should ask God, and He will give it to us freely and kindly. This means every child of God can receive His wisdom.

In the Bible, God gave many people wisdom to help them do His work. One of them was King Solomon. 1 Kings 4:29 says God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding—so much that it was more than anyone else. Solomon did not get this wisdom by himself. He asked God, and God gave it to him.

So, what is wisdom?

Wisdom is more than knowing things. Knowledge is information—facts we learn from school, reading, or experience. But wisdom is using what we know in the right way. Wisdom helps us choose what is good, true, and pleasing to God. Wisdom helps our hearts and actions follow God’s ways.

The Bible also shows that wisdom is a gift from the Holy Spirit. God gives us the ability to understand His Word and live in a way that honours Him. Human wisdom can grow through learning, but God’s wisdom comes only from God. We receive it when we pray and listen to Him.

Proverbs 4:5 tells us to “Get wisdom.” This means we should look for wisdom, remember it, and follow it. Proverbs 2:4 says wisdom is like treasure we must search for.

Without wisdom, life becomes confusing. But God’s wisdom brings peace, direction, and understanding. It helps us make good choices and live in a way that shows God’s love.
