PIDGIN THE RISING DEMONS!

 Deuteronomy 32:15-18 “5 But Israel pipol kon fat and wiked more-more. Di pipol kon heavy, round and tick for body! Dem forget God wey kreate dem; den kon rijet di Rock wey bi dia salvashon. 16 Dem make am jealous, bikos dem dey serve juju and oda gods. 17 Instead make dem sakrifice give God, dem dey sakrifice give juju and gods wey dem nor know; new gods wey dem just si, even gods wey dia grand-grand papa dem nor know about. 18 Dem don forget di Rock wey bi dia papa and di God wey kreate dem, nor dey dia mind again.

 

Deuteronomy 32:15-18 show us clear picture of people wey don dey too comfortable, forget the God wey create them, and turn their heart go meet strange gods. No be only old‑time warning; na mirror wey dey face our generation today. Nations don leave the One true God, the Creator of everything, and dem dey chase creation, rejecting the Holy One, the Rock of our salvation, for fake gods wey no fit save anybody.

History dey repeat itself. Just like for the time of Judges, when “everybody dey do wetin good for their own eyes,” our world today don bold for rebellion, proud inside deception, and careless about holiness. The question no be whether darkness dey rise again, but whether God people still fit see am.

Society, and even some parts of the church, no dey hide their love for evil again. Wetin people dey resist before, dem dey celebrate am now; wetin dem call sin before, dem don dress am like freedom; and wetin be darkness before, dem dey parade am as light.

Even children don dey copy demonic images and behaviours because evil don package itself to look attractive, powerful, fashionable and prosperous. Demons no dey hide for shadow again; dem don become normal for screens, stages, platforms and inside the minds of the next generation.

Revelation 12:9 talk say demons na fallen angels. The ancient serpent wey dem dey call devil or Satan dey mislead the whole world. Dem throw am come earth with him angels. Satan fall from heaven dey described symbolically for Isaiah 14:12–15 and Ezekiel 28:12–15. When he fall, he carry one‑third of the angels follow body2 according to verse 4. Jude 6 still talk about angels wey sin and rebel against God.

But na these same ones people dey celebrate today as heroes, celebrities and idols (and na true, na idols dem be).

Demons na Satan agents wey dey join am to lead the world away from God and push people enter sin, as we dey see clearly today. Demons fit “demonize” person—meaning say dem fit influence, oppress or possess them. Demons fit take shape, form and even show themselves to humans, especially those wey dey work with them, ready to do their bidding and sell their soul for the small pleasure wey dem give.

Demons, as spirit beings, fit enter physical body and dem be evil supernatural spirits. But we know from Matthew 12:24 say demons fit be cast out.

Demons dey rise every day! Dem don rise sotey dem don enter the music industry, producing hate‑filled, sensual, subliminal messages wey dey cause chaos and more wickedness. Dem don dey create movies full of evil and blasphemy, even acting inside them with wickedness and fear wey fit only come from hell. Their publishing industries dey produce books full of incantations, chants and spells to summon, celebrate and obey the devil while dem dey pollute minds with their filth. The fashion industry don go far sotey people—especially women, including some wey call themselves Christians—dey waka with clothes wey short sotey their private parts don turn public.

Demons don rise cover people eyes and dem no even know say dem dey perish spiritually because these same demons don blind their eyes as 2 Corinthians 4:4 talk.

E be like say demons don do correct job of disguising themselves as angels of light as 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 talk, sotey people dey willingly sell their souls to the devil.

No matter how good demons dey express, exhibit or show, dem still be demons and enemies of God—but na defeated enemies.

Today, we dey see demons—sometimes dem dey call them spirits—influencing people and even taking over their bodies.

We must remember say we no fit defeat the demons wey we dey condone, tolerate or dey play with.

Spiritual war of good and evil dey go on around us, but make we remember say Satan and him demons na defeated enemies, conquered by Jesus Christ for Calvary.

As Christians, we must guard ourselves against spiritual attack by putting on the armour of God and dwelling inside the Word.

We must obey James 4:7 and resist the devil and him agents no matter the cost.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

·       Which area of my life I don allow the enemy influence through compromise, entertainment, relationships or hidden desires?

·       I dey truly resist the devil as James 4:7 command, or I dey tolerate wetin God say make I reject?

·       How I fit put on the armour of God every day and remain alert against deception wey disguise as light?

PRAYER: Lord, help me make I no tolerate demons or listen to their lies, and remind me say dem dey under Your power in Jesus’ name. Amen.
