CHILD-FRIENDLY KINDNESS!
Proverbs 19:17 ICB
Being kind to the poor is
like lending to the Lord. The Lord will reward you for what you have done.
Kindness means showing love,
care, and goodness to others. The Bible teaches that when we are
kind—especially to people who cannot pay us back—God sees it and is happy.
Proverbs 19:17 says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He
will reward them.” This means every small act of kindness matters to God.
Kindness can be simple. It
can be a smile, helping someone carry something, sharing your toys, saying kind
words, or praying for someone who is sad. These things may look small, but they
make a big difference. God sees them, and He promises to bless us when we
choose kindness.
Kindness is wisdom because
wise people know that loving others is important. Proverbs 11:25 says that when
we help others, God helps us too. Micah 6:8 teaches us to be fair, love mercy,
and walk humbly with God. When we are kind, we show God’s love to the world.
Kindness is also
charity—love in action. It means noticing when someone needs help and doing
something about it. Even if you give something small, God sees your heart.
Jesus praised the woman who gave two small coins because she gave with love.
Kindness sometimes costs us time, patience, or sharing what we have, but it is
always worth it.
Kindness is generosity.
Generosity is not only about money. It is about giving joy, encouragement,
forgiveness, and attention. Sometimes the best gift you can give someone is
listening to them. God loves a cheerful giver and promises to give us more grace
when we give with joy.
God rewards kindness. The
reward may be peace, joy, favour, strength, or answered prayers. Hebrews 6:10
says God never forgets the love we show when we help others. Even if people
don’t say thank you, God sees it all.
The Bible shows many
examples of kindness. Ruth was kind to Naomi and God blessed her. The Good
Samaritan helped a stranger. Jesus showed kindness everywhere He went—He
healed, fed, forgave, and welcomed people. Kindness can change someone’s day
and even their life.

PRAYER: Lord, make my heart
gentle and kind like Yours. Help me to see people who need kindness and give it
with joy. Teach me to love others, help others, and share what I have. Let my
kindness bring hope, healing, and Your love to everyone around me. In Jesus’
name, Amen.
